A INICIAÇÃO CIENTÍFICA NA UNIVERSIDADE FEDERAL DO AMAZONAS: um estudo do perfil e das perspectivas dos discentes de biblioteconomia que ingressaram no PIBIC entre os anos de 2010 a 2012

Trata de um artigo que aponta o perfil e as perspectivas dos discentes do Curso de Biblioteconomia da Universidade Federal do Amazonas que realizaram Programa Institucional de Bolsas de Iniciação Científica (PIBIC), entre os anos de 2010 a 2012. Para isto, identifica e caracteriza o perfil desses discentes, investigando diversos aspectos inerentes a essa participação acadêmica no processo de iniciação científica. Evidencia ainda o importante papel das universidades e das agências de fomento enquanto instrumentos de cooperação e estímulo para a promoção da iniciação científica. Metodologicamente a pesquisa trata de um estudo bibliográfico e de campo, tendo caráter exploratóriodescritivo e uma natureza quali-quantitativa. Utilizou-se como técnica de coleta um questionário com 25 questões abertas e fechadas aplicadas aos discentes do Curso de Biblioteconomia da UFAM com projetos de PIBIC aprovados entre esse período. Resulta na caracterização do perfil e na apresentação de algumas perspectivas dos graduandos de Biblioteconomia, dos diversos períodos da Universidade Federal do Amazonas, que durante suas jornadas acadêmicas, desenvolveram a pesquisa científica na graduação. Conclui que quanto antes o discente se interessa pelo desenvolvimento da pesquisa, envolvendose no âmbito científico, inúmeros são os benefícios agregados à sua formação e maiores são as chances de se somarem competências necessárias para o aumento de seu senso crítico, para seu melhor relacionamento com a docência na Universidade, para uma reflexão mais precisa acerca da solução de problemas que lhe envolvem e, também, uma visão mais humanística e participativa com quem interage durante a graduação.@pt

Is an article that shows the profile and prospects of students of Library Science Course at the Federal University of Amazonas who underwent Institutional Programs of Scientific Initiation Scholarships - PIBIC between the years 2010-2012. For this, identifies and characterizes the profile of these students investigating various aspects of this academic participation in the process of scientific initiation. It highlights the important role of universities and development agencies as instruments of cooperation and encouragement to promote undergraduate research. Methodologically the research is a literature research and survey, with an exploratory-descriptive and qualitative and quantitative nature. It was used as a technique for collecting a questionnaire with 25 open and closed questions applied to students of the School of Librarianship UFAM PIBIC with projects approved between this period. Results in the characterization of the profile and presenting some perspectives of undergraduate librarianship, the various periods of the Federal University of Amazonas, which during their academic journeys, developed in undergraduate scientific research. Concludes that as soon as the student is interested in the development of research, engaging in the scientific realm, there are numerous added benefits to their training and the higher are the chances of tallying skills to increase your critical sense for your better relationship to teaching at the University, for a more accurate reflection about solving problems that involve you and also a more humanistic and participative with whom they interact during graduation.@en
