The politics of Supporting Scientific Technological Development Programme in the developmental and neoliberal historical contexts

O objetivo do presente artigo é demonstrar a importância de inserir aos estudos da Ciência da Informação uma visão mais ampla do contexto histórico no qual se construíram políticas a favor da ciência e tecnologia. Tendo o Programa de Apoio ao Desenvolvimento Científico Tecnológico como objeto de análise, procura-se demonstrar como a compreensão do cenário político-econômico-social é fundamental para o enriquecimento da Ciência da Informação. A valorização das políticas de ciência e tecnologia num cenário desenvolvimentista e sua recente inserção em políticas neoliberais representam marcos para se pensar a própria Ciência da Informação suas relações com o Estado e a iniciativa privada.@pt

This article aims to demonstrate the importance of including in the field of Information Science studies a view of the historical context in which some politics in favor of science and technology were built. Having the Supporting Scientific Technological Development Programme as the object of analysis, this work will try to show that understanding this subject is fundamental to understanding the politic-economic-social scenario which contribute to the Information Science field. The value of science and technology politics in the developmental scenario and the recent insertion of science and technology politics in the neoliberal political affairs represent an important landmark for reflecting about the role of Information Science and its relations with the State and private sector.@en
