A “linguagem” e os fundamentos da ciência da informação no Brasil: entre o desafio metodológico da pesquisa documental e os estudos epistemológico-históricos

Parte dos resultados do projeto “Trilhar o Trivium: a Filosofia da Ciência da Informação na tradição filosófica da linguagem”, este estudo, de caráter metateórico e metametodológico, procura reconhecer o papel da linguagem, a partir dos saberes da lógica, da retórica e da gramática, na fundamentação do domínio informacional. O foco desta etapa está na compreensão das relações entre linguagem e pensamento informacional no Brasil. Neste passo, a pesquisa teve como procedimento central o estudo documental (e a reflexão sobre o modo de construção de tal modelo de pesquisa, quando articulado com a discussão de uma epistemologia histórica), focado na identificação, comparação e análise e discussão de matrizes curriculares, ementas e programas das disciplinas dos cursos de pós-graduação. A abordagem metodológica ampla conta com a articulação entre o estudo documental e reflexão epistemológico-histórica. Os principais resultados apontam para a dificuldade de uma análise epistemológico-histórica do campo a partir das fontes documentais em construção nos Programas de Pós-Graduação em Ciência da Informação no Brasil e para as primeiras reflexões da presença, da identificação, do papel e da relevância da “linguagem” dentro dos estudos informacionais.@pt

Part of the project "Walking the Trivium: Philosophy of Information Science in the philosophical tradition of language”, this metatheoretical and metamethodological study seeks the role of “language” in the foundations of information studies. The focus of this step is to understand the relationship between “language” and thought in Brazilian Information Science. Hear, the research was focused documental study (and reflection on how to build such a model search when read in conjunction with the discussion of a historical epistemology), focused on the identification, comparison and analysis and discussion of curriculum matrices and programs of graduate academic courses. A comprehensive methodological approach relies on the relationship between the documental study with historical and epistemological reflection. The main results point to the difficulty of a historical-epistemological analysis of the field from the documentary sources in the construction of Graduate Programs in Information Science in Brazil and the first reflections of the presence, identification and relevance of "language" within the foundations of informational studies.@en
