Ict in education: from policies to language practices

A importância das tecnologias da informação e da comunicação (TIC) tem sido enfatizada no campo educacional, com base no pressuposto de que o acesso às TIC corresponde ao assim chamado divisor digital. Assim sendo, os estudos educacionais tendem a valorizar a simples presença destas tecnologias, relegando a um segundo plano a sua apropriação pedagógica. Visando a superar esta limitação, este artigo discute os modos pelos quais as TIC têm sido introduzidas nas políticas de formação de professores em curso no Brasil, focalizando as práticas de linguagem desenvolvidas nos novos contextos educacionais.@pt

As far as education is concerned, the importance of the information and communication technologies (ICT) tends to be taken for granted, based on the assumption that access to ICT stands for the so called digital divide. Therefore, educational studies usually value the mere presence of these technologies and pay little or no attention to their pedagogical appropriation. In order to overcome this limitation, this article consists of the discussion of the ways ICT are introduced to Brazilian teacher education policies, by focusing language practices developed in the new educational settings.@en
