Analisa a obsolescência da literatura sobre a Lei de Lotka produzida de 1922 a 2003. Embora a distribuição da idade da literatura acumulada sincronicamente parece produzir um processo de obsolescência exponencial não parece existir um padrão de obsolescência definido. Não obstante, o modelo que melhor expressa à obsolescência da literatura estudada é o modelo polinomial de quarto grau.@pt

The obsolescence of literature on Lotka´s law produced from 1922 to 2003 is analyzed. Although the distribution of the age of literature synchronously accumulated seems to produce an exponential obsolescence does not seem to exist a definite standard of obsolescence. However, the model that better express the obsolescence of the literature examined is the fourth degree polynomial model.@en
