O presente trabalho descreve em linhas gerais a necessidade de criação de um serviço de pesquisa bibliográfica e documentação no SID/BC - UFPB. Tendo como finalidade precípua a dinamização do desempenho operacional da Seção de Informação e Documentação ao mesmo tempo que serve de apoio e proporciona ao usuário o acesso às informações, conhecimentos e idéias de forma ampla e eficiente. Enfocando, também, uma modificação na imagem do bibliotecário.@pt

This paper outlines the need for creation of a bibliographic research and documentation on the SID/BC - UFPB. With the primary aim of boosting the operating performance of the Information and Documentation Section at the same time serves as a support and provides the user access to information, knowledge and ideas widely and efficiently.
