A pesquisa histórica no ensino: saberes necessários à prática docente

Historical research in education: knowledge needed for teaching practice

Aborda a importância da pesquisa histórica no ensino de graduação e pós-graduação, dos cursos da área de Ciência da Informação, destacando a sua contribuição na formação profissional. Apresenta algumas considerações sobre como a pesquisa histórica contribuirá na relação entre o conhecimento obtido em sala de aula e a prática cotidiana, através de um envolvimento mais dinâmico com a sociedade ao longo da história. Destaca, ainda, que nenhum conhecimento, em sua complexidade, é absoluto ou eterno, há sempre uma relação com outros saberes, com novas aquisições de pensamento, ou mesmo de valores, o que deve ser observado pelos educadores em sua prática pedagógica, desenvolvendo situações de aprendizagem que permitam aos educandos o exercício do pensamento criativo, autônomo e crítico acerca da realidade discutida em sala.@pt

Discusses the importance of historical research in undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the area of Information Science, highlighting its contribution to vocational training. Presents some considerations on how to contribute to historical research on the relationship between knowledge gained in the classroom and everyday practice, through a more dynamic involvement with the society throughout history. It also emphasizes that no knowledge, and its complexity, is absolute and eternal, there is always a relationship with other knowledge, with new acquisitions of thought, or even values, which must be observed by educators in their teaching, developing situations learning to enable students to exercise creative thinking, independent and critical of the fact discussed in class.@en
