O artigo aborda as relações interdisciplinares existentes entre a Arquivística e a Arquitetura da Informação (AI). A Arquitetura da Informação é uma área do conhecimento em franco desenvolvimento, que congrega diferentes profissionais com o propósito de estruturar e organizar espaços de informação, permitindo uma melhor interação com os usuários, especialmente na Web. A Arquivística, responsável pelo tratamento de conjuntos documentais orgânicos, atua na produção, aquisição, classificação, descrição, conservação e difusão das informações. Neste sentido, busca-se compreender o papel da Arquivística no âmbito da Arquitetura da Informação e, para tanto, faz-se uma análise dos princípios, procedimentos e métodos utilizados pelas áreas.@pt

The article approaches the existing relations interdisciplinary between the Archives Administration and the Information Architecture (IA). The Information Architecture is an area of the knowledge in frank development, that congregates different professionals with the intention to structuralize and to organize information spaces, allowing one better interaction with the users, especially in Web. The Archives Administration, responsible for the treatment of organic documentary sets, acts in the production, acquisition, classification, description, conservation and diffusion of the information. In this direction, one search to understand the paper of the Archives Administration in the scope of the Information Architecture and, for in such a way, one becomes an analysis of the principles, procedures and methods used for the areas.@en
