Todas as revistas francesas e alemãs indexados no Journal Citation Reports através de 2000 - 2005 foram analisados. O estudo mostrou que a porção de revistas francesas de entrar material para o banco de dados JCR em 2005 contado de 1% enquanto que a porção de revistas alemãs, ao mesmo tempo é 4 vezes maior. De um total de 6.088 periódicos no JCR, em 2005, 427 (7%) foram publicados na Alemanha, 146 (2%) foram publicados na França, 6.088 periódicos no JCR produzidas 847.114 artigos, 50.276 (6%) apareceram em as revistas alemãs e 13.913 (2%) em revistas francesas. Dos 22.353.992 citações em 2005, 861.190 (4%) vieram de jornais alemães e 179.585 (1%) vieram de journals.Analysis francês dos dados mostrou que há uma correlação entre o total de citações e fator de impacto das revistas alemãs, assim como o francês revistas indexadas no JCR. 32,9% de todas as citações em revistas alemãs no JCR, em 2005, pertencem à 7% das revistas alemãs com IF> 3, e 67,1% do total de citações pertencem a 93% das revistas com FI <3. Essa correlação é ainda mais forte entre os jornais franceses, 57% do total de citações feitas por jornais franceses pertencem a 10% das revistas francesas com FI> 2. De um total de 433 periódicos alemães em 2000 indexada no JCR, 91% de toda a população tem auto-citação taxa de 1% a 79%, e de todos os 427 periódicos alemães em 2005, 96% de toda a população tenha auto-citação taxa de 1% a 72%. de um total de 161 revistas francesas indexadas no JCR, em 2000, 82% tem auto-citação taxa de 1% a 100%, e de todos os 146 jornais franceses em 2005, 86% de todos os população tem auto-citação taxa de 1% a 79%. O estudo revelou ainda que as taxas de auto-citação de todos os jornais alemães em 2000, assim como em 2005 ficou em 12%. A taxa de auto-citação de periódicos franceses em 2000 e 2005 são respectivamente 13% e 12%. O valor médio de FI revistas francesas em 2005 fica 0,25 mais do que 2000, enquanto que o valor médio de FI alemão revistas em 2005 mostra aumento de 0,31 com o comparar com o ano de 2000.@pt
