Eletronic library sources: the role of the librarian at university libraries

Este artigo pretende apresentar um panorama geral do papel a ser desempenhado pelo bibliotecário, especialmente os que atuam em bibliotecas universitárias, em função das mudanças tecnológicas. Para tal, buscou-se fazer uma revisão nos fundamentos contextuais das atuações deste profissional, face às perspectivas apresentadas em decorrência das mudanças ocorridas no âmbito da comunicação científica, especialmente das fontes de informação disponíveis.@pt

This article attempts to present a general view of the role of librarians, particularly those working at university libraries, in face of technological changes. As such, an attempt was made to revise the fundamental contexts of the duties of the professional librarian, keeping in mind the perspectives presented as a result of the changes on the scientific communication field, especially of the available information sources. @en
