With the objective of investigating and presenting the representation of the female editor within scientific journals. This article proposes to briefly discuss the panorama of the gender issue in scientific communication through the disposition of the role of women through the organizational prism of scientific journals. Understanding that from the communication conveyed through scientific journals in the domains of Librarianship and Information Science, conditions are created for the development of science in the area and contributes to validating the results of scientific works. In this sense, the organization of journals has an important role in the editorials, especially for providing in configuration, through its editorial body and its communicational space, the possibility of visibility and dissemination to the scientific community. For this, it was analyzed through a synthetic research at BRAPCI the scope of studies focused on the issue of gender and women today with the primary purpose of making a contrast with the data that configure the editorship of scientific journals. The research was based on the exploratory and descriptive investigative proposal where it was noticed that the gender issue can influence the editorial production of scientific dissemination, generating possibilities to review the representation of women who are at the service of science.@en

Com o objetivo de investigar e apresentar a representatividade da editoria feminina dentro das revistas científicas. Este artigo se propõe a discutir brevemente o panorama da questão de gênero na comunicação científica por meio da disposição do papel da mulher pelo prisma organizacional de periódicos científicos. Compreendendo que a partir da comunicação veiculada através dos periódicos científicos dos domínios de conhecimento da Biblioteconomia e Ciência da Informação cria-se condições para o desenvolvimento da ciência na área e contribui para validar os resultados dos trabalhos científicos. Nesse sentido, a organização dos periódicos tem nas editorias um papel importante, especialmente por fornecer em configuração, através de seu corpo editorial e seu espaço comunicacional, a possibilidade de visibilidade e disseminação para a comunidade científica. Para isso, analisou-se por intermédio de uma pesquisa sintética na BRAPCI a abrangência de estudos voltados para a questão de gênero e mulher na atualidade com a finalidade primeira de fazer um contraste com os dados que configuram a editoria das revistas científicas. A pesquisa foi pautada na proposta investigativa exploratória e descritiva onde percebeu-se que a questão de gênero pode influenciar na produção editorial da divulgação científica, gerando possibilidades para rever a representação da mulher que se encontra a serviço da ciência.@pt
