DESAFIOS E PERSPECTIVAS DO BIBLIOTECÁRIO NORMALIZADOR DE TRABALHOS ACADÊMICOS

CHALLENGES AND PROSPECTS OF THE ACADEMIC LABORATORY STANDARD LIBRARY

Este artigo aborda a importância da normalização para o meio científico e a sua função dentro do cenário de trabalho do bibliotecário, trazendo fatos e argumentos de pensadores da área a fim de chegar a um consenso sobre a questão. Apresenta os problemas enfrentados pelos profissionais que estão encarregados de solucionar as dificuldades de aplicação das normas, além de buscar o perfil do bibliotecário que trabalha com a normalização de documentos. O objetivo foi identificar as perspectivas e os desafios enfrentados pelos bibliotecários que trabalham com a normalização de trabalhos acadêmicos. A metodologia referiu à pesquisa descritiva e bibliográfica com abordagem quali-quantitativa, utilizando-se como instrumento questionário aplicado virtualmente com 84 bibliotecários normalizadores sobre perspectivas e desafios enfrentados, dos quais 30 responderam. Após a coleta de dados foi realizada uma análise indutiva ou inferencial das respostas coletadas. Com base nas respostas do questionário, os resultados apontam que a maioria dos bibliotecários normalizadores reconhece o caráter amplo e a alta demanda do serviço de normalização, e têm como maior dificuldade a cobrança do serviço, proveniente da ausência de uma tabela de valores elaborada pelos órgãos da área e da desvalorização do trabalho pelos contratantes. Conclui que a pesquisa foi importante para se identificar as dificuldades enfrentadas e buscar soluções para os problemas, destacando-se a necessidade de elaboração de uma tabela nacional de valores para cobrança do serviço, visto que alguns estados elaboraram a sua, mas não há um consenso quanto aos valores.@pt

This article addresses the importance of standardization for the scientific environment and its function within the librarian´s work scenario, bringing facts and arguments from thinkers in the area in order to reach a consensus on such importance. It presents the problems faced by the professionals who are in charge of solving the difficulties of applying the rules, in addition to seeking the profile of the librarian who works with the standardization of documents. The objective was to identify the perspectives and challenges faced by librarians who work with the standardization of academic works. The methodology used in the article was bibliographic research, in books and articles, to theorize about the content covered; and the quali-quantitative method to analyze the answers given by librarian professionals, who work in the field of standardization on perspectives and challenges faced, collected through a questionnaire applied virtually. Based on the responses to the questionnaire, it is concluded that most standardizing librarians recognize the wide and high demand of the standardization service, and have the greatest difficulty in charging for the service, due to the absence of a table of values prepared by the bodies of the area and the devaluation of work by contractors.@en
