Environmental Education is an essential process in the scene and in the national and international debate involving Information Science. The study consists of establishing a metric panel of information, using the collection of BRAPCI periodical publications and before the collection of publications, elements of the thematic scope about environmental education are located. As a methodology, the research is characterized as descriptive and bibliometric and comprises the period from 2012 to 2021 of scientific communications indexed in the collection of publications in information science. The results highlight the survey of 21 articles in 12 different scientific journals, and the most productive years are 2014 and 2018; both with four indexed documentary items. It is concluded that Environmental Education remains in the embryonic agenda of the scientific literature of information science, touching on interdisciplinary constructs around sustainability, health education, ecojournalism, public policies, social responsibility and social technology.@en
