This research describes the performance history of the Education, Research and Scientific Production Research Group, of the National Council for Scientific and Technological Development, and the development of one of its main products, the universally accessible Reference Database for Journal Articles in Information Science. The current framework of this Research Group is highlighted and its scientific, social, and innovative contributions to the field of Information Science are presented. Both Metric Information Studies and Social Network Analysis are used to map the group´s academic training profile, the quantification of the collaborative scientific production among its members, the most researched topics and the co-occurrence between these topics, and the members that stand out in the research network that characterizes the Group between the years 2010 and 2021. Data are extracted from the Directory of Research Groups in Brazil, and from the Lattes Platform concerning to the curricula of members with their production in journals and scientific events. As results, it identifies the high academic formation of the members. It points out that the most investigated co-occurring themes correspond to the objectives of the group and perceives the expansion of publications of its research results in scientific journals of Information Science. In observing the ties between the members and verifying those who stand out in the network, it highlights institutional ties and the importance of the leadership of the group when intermediating partnerships between its participants. It considers that the group´s research contributes to analysis of scientific production in different domains and critical reflection on its practice.@en

Esta pesquisa descreve a trajetória de atuação do Grupo de Pesquisa ‘Educação, Pesquisa e Produção Científica’, cadastrado no Conselho Nacional de Desenvolvimento Científico e Tecnológico, e o desenvolvimento de um de seus principais produtos, a Base de Dados Referenciais de Artigos de Periódicos em Ciência da Informação (Brapci), acessível universalmente. Evidencia o quadro corrente do Grupo, tratando de suas contribuições científicas, sociais e inovadoras. Adota os Estudos Métricos da Informação e a Análise de Redes Sociais como meio para mapear o perfil de formação acadêmica do grupo, o quantitativo da produção científica colaborativa interna entre os seus participantes, a coocorrência dos temas mais trabalhados e os membros que se destacam na rede de produção científica que caracteriza o Grupo, entre os anos 2010 e 2021. Extrai os dados a partir de registros no Diretório dos Grupos de Pesquisa no Brasil, nos currículos dos membros pela Plataforma Lattes e na sua produção em periódicos e eventos científicos. Nos resultados, identifica a formação acadêmica elevada dos membros. Constata que os temas coocorrentes mais investigados correspondem aos objetivos do grupo e percebe a ampliação das publicações dos seus resultados de pesquisa em periódicos científicos da Ciência da Informação. Na observância dos laços entre os membros e verificação dos que se sobressaem na rede, destaca vínculos institucionais e a importância da liderança do grupo ao intermediar parcerias entre os seus participantes. Considera que as pesquisas do grupo contribuem para análises sobre a produção científica em diferentes domínios e reflexão crítica sobre a sua prática.@pt
