This paper identifies and diachronically discusses problems related to cultural expropriation through the imposition of symbolic arrangements and systems that refer to our colonial condition. From catechesis in tabas to the present day, there prevails an underground operation of deprivation of knowledge and dispossession of memory that is expressed in new power relations, having the domain of knowledge, knowledge and information as a new and powerful political instrument. The appropriation and / or deprivation of these codes betrays their antagonistic dimension: the power of large technology companies that exploit personal data; devices and features that rob users of their attention span and the massive growth of fake information (fake news). We seek to demystify the false autonomy of the technique and recognize, above all, the web of relationships (cultural, social, economic and political) that involves the production, diffusion and social use of knowledge in Brazil.@en
