Objective: This research aims to analyze whether bachelors in Library Science graduated in the period 2009-2019 in the State of Espírito Santo are seeking other graduations to be able to enter the job market. Methodology: the methodological path adopted was bibliographical research, documental research and field research that had the questionnaire as a collection instrument (tool). Results: As a result, it was possible to verify that despite not being satisfied with the salary, only 26% had or are doing another degree, a fact that contributed to the fact that 30% of the interviewees were in another area of activity and receiving a salary higher than the average of a librarian in the state. Conclusions: In fact, public policies have a long way to go and provide job openings and decent wages for all librarians in the State of Espírito Santo.@en
