Pessoas com deficiência e o acesso à informação durante as atividades remotas na Universidade Federal do Ceará

People with disabilities and the information access during the remote activities at the federal university of ceará.

Introduction: It discusses issues related to user studies, protagonism and social empowerment, based on a research aimed at the community of people with disabilities at the Federal University of Ceará (UFC) during the new Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic. Objectives: It’s general objective is to find out if there are and what are the challenges involving the use and access of information for the community of people with disabilities at UFC during the remote activities. As a specific objective it intends to: a) To analyze if there were accessible methods and materials; b) To investigate if the studied community has structural, technological and psychological conditions for carrying out remote activities. c) To identify if the studied community has accessibility agents. Methodology: A bibliographical and documentary research was carried out to construct a theoretical reference and a exploratory research was chosen, with a qualitative approach. It uses an electronic form as a data collection instrument, with objective and subjective questions. Results: There were difficulties related to the accessibility of different types during remote activities, on the other hand, there were facilitations due to the use of assistive technologies. Conclusion: The performance of user studies is essential to understand in a systematic and holistic way the nuances that involve informational subjects. The librarian in this context is the professional who can operationalize such studies, and from that point promote inclusion, integration and accessibility policies.@en

Introdução: Discute questões relacionadas aos estudos de usuários, protagonismo e empoderamento social, a partir de uma pesquisa voltada à comunidade de pessoas com deficiência da Universidade Federal do Ceará (UFC) durante a pandemia do novo coronavírus (COVID-19). Objetivos: Tem como objetivo geral descobrir se existem e quais são os desafios envolvendo o uso e acesso à informação a comunidade de Pessoas com Deficiência na UFC durante as atividades remotas. Como objetivos específicos pretende a) analisar se houve material e métodos acessíveis; b) investigar se a comunidade estudada possui condições estruturais, tecnológicas e psicológicas para realização das atividades remotas e c) identificar se a comunidade estudada possui agentes de acessibilidade. Metodologia: Foi realizada uma pesquisa bibliográfica e documental para a construção de referencial teórico e optou-se pela pesquisa de caráter exploratório, com uma abordagem qualitativa. Utiliza o formulário eletrônico como instrumento de coleta de dados, com questões objetivas e subjetivas.  Resultados: Houve dificuldades relacionadas à acessibilidade de diversos tipos durante as atividades remotas, por outro lado, existiram facilitações em decorrência do uso de Tecnologia Assistiva. Conclusão: A realização dos estudos de usuários é fundamental para compreender de maneira sistêmica e holística as nuances que envolvem os usuários da informação. O bibliotecário nesse contexto é o profissional que pode operacionalizar tais estudos, para a partir disso promover políticas de inclusão, integração e acessibilidade.@pt
