Digital preservation research in Pernambuco

Introduction - The text offers a retrospective view of the development of Digital Preservation (DP) studies in Pernambuco, taking as a theoretical framework the proposition of the Model of Memorial Systems. (GALINDO, 2005; 2009 and 2014). Objective - To discuss the role of the Liber Laboratory of Knowledge Technology as a multi-user research unit at the Federal University of Pernambuco (UFPE), point out the main studies, the insertion of research in virtual libraries, which began in the late nineties. Methodology â It uses the structuring instrument of the experience report to describe the contribution of the Liber group, highlighting the relevant points for the field of DP. It describes the performance, exchange and proposition of ideas for the DP. Results â It narrates the experience of the Bank of Theses and Dissertations and IBICIT in the installation of pioneer repositories that made possible the establishment of a memory network of scientific research in Brazil, operated by institutions of the national education and research system. Conclusion - It describes the formation of research in Preservation and Digital Curation established in the Graduate Program in Information Science at UFPE and the re-edition of the risk monitoring program in national Institutional Repositories as permanent results of this effort.@en

Introdução: O texto oferece uma visão retrospectiva do desenvolvimento dos estudos de Preservação Digital (PD) em Pernambuco, tomando como com marco teórico de referência, a proposição do modelo teórico dos Sistemas Memoriais. (GALINDO, 2005; 2009 e 2014). Objetivo: Discutir o papel do Laboratório Liber de Tecnologia do Conhecimento como unidade de pesquisa multiusuária da Universidade Federal de Pernambuco (UFPE), apontar os principais estudos, a inserção da pesquisa em bibliotecas virtuais, iniciada ainda no final da década de noventa. Metodologia: Serve-se do instrumento estruturador do relato de experiência para descrever a contribuição do grupo Liber, destacando os pontos relevantes para o campo da PD. Descreve a atuação, a troca e a proposição de ideias para a PD. Resultados: Narra a experiência do Banco de Teses e Dissertações e IBICIT na instalação dos repositórios pioneiros que viabilizaram o estabelecimento de uma rede de memória da pesquisa científica no Brasil, operada por instituições do sistema de ensino e pesquisa nacional. Conclusão: Descreve a formação da pesquisa em Preservação e Curadoria Digital estabelecida no Programa de Pós-Graduação em Ciência da Informação da UFPE e a reedição do programa de monitoramento de risco em Repositórios Institucionais nacionais como resultados permanentes deste esforço.@pt
