The potential of the civic square in goiânia to the citizen formation of the librarian: highlighting cultural practices

We discussed the potential, from the Civic Square in Goiânia-GO, for the citizen training of librarians. Do we question whether the exercise of citizen education provides librarians to live the city and perform their social practices? Based on a bibliographic and exploratory approach, we specifically sought to highlight the incentive to citizen practice in non-formal spaces as complementary strategies. We also aim to show the Civic Square, portrayed through its various uses and appropriations, can be discussed/understood as a place of encounter, multiple uses and symbolism, reinforcing its potential to exercise citizen practices. We propose a methodology based on a cartographic construction, which aims to map cultural spaces and devices, to serve as an instrument of appropriation and mediation of the librarians of the city of Goiânia. We conclude, therefore, that learning about the city, formulating interventions in the lived space, make the librarians aggregators in their doings. In this way, we propose that their full exercise of full citizenship involves an educational action and a more social Librarianship, which highlight cultural practices, because as subjects and mediators of information, Librarians should appropriate the spaces they frequent and occupy, contributing to a more complete and social performance.@en

Discutimos a potencialidade, a partir da Praça Cívica em Goiânia-GO, para a formação cidadã dos bibliotecários. Questionamos se o exercício da formação cidadã proporciona aos bibliotecários viver a cidade e executar suas práticas sociais? Fundamentada numa abordagem bibliográfica e exploratória buscamos, especificamente, ressaltar o incentivo à prática cidadã em espaços não-formais como estratégias complementares. Objetivamos, também, mostrar a Praça Cívica, retratada por meio dos seus diversos usos e apropriações, pode ser discutida/compreendida enquanto lugar do encontro, de múltiplos usos e simbolismos, reforçando seu potencial ao exercício das práticas cidadãs. Propomos uma metodologia amparada numa construção cartográfica, que visa mapear os espaços e aparelhos culturais, para servir de instrumento de apropriação e de mediação dos bibliotecários da cidade de Goiânia. Concluímos, portanto, que aprender sobre a cidade, formulando intervenções no espaço vivido, fazem dos bibliotecários agregadores em seus fazeres. Desta forma, propomos que o seu pleno exercício da cidadania completa perpassa por uma ação educativa e de uma Biblioteconomia mais social, que evidenciem as práticas culturais, pois enquanto sujeitos e mediadores da informação, os bibliotecários devem se apropriar dos espaços que frequentam e ocupam, contribuindo, em uma atuação mais completa e social.@pt
