Introdução: O presente artigo trata de ações inovadoras promovidas por bibliotecas durante a pandemia de COVID-19. Para tanto, foi necessário buscar e analisar ações inovadoras, bem como identificar o que é inovação na Biblioteconomia. Método: Realizou-se, então, uma pesquisa bibliográfica e documental, juntamente com a análise de conteúdo das ações. Resultados: Os resultados indicam as principais tipologias de inovação reconhecidas pela literatura científica e apontam que as inovações desenvolvidas por bibliotecas brasileiras tendem a ser dos tipos “de produto” e “incremental”. Conclusão: Portanto, inovar na Biblioteconomia brasileira significa customizar produtos e serviços, que podem ser de grande ou pequeno porte, mas alinhados com as necessidades informacionais do público que a biblioteca atende.@pt

Introduction: This article deals with innovative actions promoted by libraries during the COVID-19 pandemic. Method: In order to achieve the objective, it was necessary to seek and analyze innovative actions, as well as identify what innovation in Librarianship is. Results: The results indicate the main types of innovation recognized by the scientific literature and indicate that the innovations developed by Brazilian libraries tend to be of the âprocessâ and âincrementalâ types. Conclusion: Innovating in Brazilian Librarianship means customizing products and services, which can be large or small, but aligned with the informational needs of the public that the library serves.@en
