Development of accessible and intersected collections with a focus on the author with disabilities: diagnosis on the inclusive collection in the State Public Library of Ceará - BECE

The article discusses the construction of the Policy for Formation and Development of Collections (PFDC) of the State Public Library of Ceará (BECE) taking into account the presence of authors with disabilities. The study is developed by outlining directions for its objectives: to discover how PFDC is defining and implementing criteria for this development, seeking synergy between accessible supports and authors with disabilities; to verify in the library’s collection which books were written by authors with disabilities; to outline guidelines for the rational and balanced growth of the collection, focusing on the author. The methodology addressed the exploratory research on the mentioned topics and the survey of books written by authors with disabilities in the collection. It is concluded that BECE´s PFDC needs to expand its scope of both authors with disabilities and accessible works, so that it reflects the plurality of forms of use of its collection. However, a more inclusive development is already in progress in the library.  @en

O artigo discorre sobre a construção da Política de Formação e Desenvolvimento de Coleções (PFDC) da Biblioteca Pública Estadual do Ceará (BECE) levando em conta a presença de autores com deficiência. O estudo ganha contornos ao delinear rumos para seus objetivos: averiguar de que forma a PFDC está definindo e implementando critérios para esse desenvolvimento, buscando a sinergia entre suportes acessíveis e autores com deficiência; verificar no acervo quais livros foram escritos por autores com deficiência; traçar diretrizes para o crescimento racional e equilibrado do acervo focando no autor. A metodologia abordou a pesquisa exploratória sobre os temas em lide e levantamento de obras de autores com deficiência. Conclui-se que PFDC da BECE precisa ampliar seu escopo tanto de autores com deficiência como de obras acessíveis, porém se faz presente o desenvolvimento mais inclusivo, para que a biblioteca espelhe a pluralidade das formas de uso do seu acervo.@pt
