Após o comunismo: A biblioteconomia e Ciência da Informação nas antigas repúblicas soviéticas (1991-2021)

Análise histórica – a partir de levantamento bibliográfico e revisão de literatura em fontes secundárias- identificando as principais características que marcaram a biblioteconomia e Ciência da Informação nas 11 repúblicas pertencentes a Comunidade de Estados Independentes (CEI) nas décadas de transição para o capitalismo. O período analisado foi entre 1991, com a dissolução da URSS, até o final dos anos 2010, com ênfase nos órgãos e institutos de pesquisa, os serviços de informação e bibliotecas, os periódicos científicos, legislação e a formação profissional. O artigo focou sua análise em cinco principais áreas ligadas a Comunidade dos Estados Independentes: Rússia, Belarus/Bielorrússia, Ucrânia, Cáucaso e Ásia Central. A pesquisa identificou que, apesar de problemas e vícios oriundos do período comunista ainda serem percebidos, tantos os acervos documentais quanto os projetos de renovação da infraestrutura e atualização legal das bibliotecas nesses países sinalizam para um novo horizonte informacional, se adaptando, parcialmente, a realidade capitalista.@pt
