This paper investigates evidence of the Access to Information Lawâs (LAI) principles on the SUS Department of Informatics (DataSUS) portal and their relationship with the archival function of information dissemination. It is presumed that DataSUS is fully in conformity with these principles as it is inserted in the sphere of public power. The potential impact of each of the principles is discussed and it is noticed that some of them interfere asymmetrically in accessing the information available on the portal. The purpose of the study is to analyze the compliance of the DataSUS portal with the LAI principles. It is an exploratory, descriptive research, with a qualitative and quantitative approach and also bibliographic, documentary and survey types. Valuation techniques are used to assign weights to the principles, as of observation and content analysis techniques. A checklist is applied to prospect portalâs data. The principles are divided into two operational categories: access and accessibility. The results reveal that the portal is in compliance with the principles of the âaccessibilityâ category and partially meets the principles of the âaccessâ category. It is concluded that two of the most significant among the six LAI principles are not applied on the DataSUS portal and it is recommended to implement these aiming to effectuate dissemination of organic health information produced by SUS.@en
