Ambiente informacional de arquivos: a emergência estética na sociedade da informação

Information environment of archives: the aesthetic emergency in the information society

The discussions about work conditions in information environment of information units, especially archives, overcame the dialogues in professional scope and have acquired, a few years ago, the political basis of due attention to its scientific and pragmatic relevance as a social phenomenon. In this article, it is searched to reflect about the quality of archive as an information environment in its structural dimension, which conjugates workplace and access to information of cultural value. The research strategies used were descriptive and bibliographic (from the point of view of the objectives), with qualitative approach. In relation to the results, it is called attention to the emergency of the functional and aesthetic quality of archives because, as work environments, they need favorable conditions for the work of different professionals like the archivist and the archive technician. As a mechanism of cultural diffusion, it is required an improvement in infrastructure to a better attendance to users. It is concluded that the archives, as well as any other information unit need to dispose of a suitable layout, in order to captivate their users for beyond the treated material in their collection. After all, they are the prominent link between the work reason and those for whom are projected the results in the context of information units. In turn, the users are cognitively influenced by their propensity to the beautiful.     @en

As discussões sobre a condição de trabalho nos ambientes informacionais de unidades de informação, em especial dos arquivos, transpassaram os diálogos no âmbito profissional e ganharam há alguns anos o embasamento político da devida atenção para sua relevância científica e pragmática enquanto fenômeno social. Destarte, neste artigo, busca-se refletir sobre a qualidade do arquivo enquanto ambiente informacional em sua dimensão estrutural que conjuga local de trabalho e acesso à informação de valor cultural. As estratégias de pesquisa utilizadas foram: descritiva e bibliográfica (do ponto de vista dos objetivos), com abordagem qualitativa. Como resultados, chama-se a atenção para a emergência da qualidade funcional e estética dos arquivos, pois, enquanto ambientes de trabalho, estes necessitam de condições favoráveis ao labor de diferentes profissionais, a exemplo do arquivista e do técnico em arquivo. Enquanto mecanismo de difusão cultural, os arquivos requerem um aprimoramento da infraestrutura para melhor atender seus usuários. Conclui-se que os arquivos, assim como qualquer outra unidade de informação, necessitam dispor de um layout adequado a fim de cativar seus usuários para além do material tratado em seu acervo, pois eles são o elo proeminente entre a razão do trabalho e a quem são projetados os resultados no contexto das unidades de informação, sendo, por sua vez, os usuários influenciáveis cognitivamente por sua propensão ao belo.@pt
