Descreve o contexto geral de uso do Portal de Periódicos da Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior (CAPES) na Universidade Federal da Paraíba (UFPB), a partir da promoção do acesso ao Portal de Periódicos através da Biblioteca Central desta universidade. Define os portais de informação enquanto “cosmopédias”. Apresenta a funcionalidade do Portal de Periódicos analisado. Constata problemas de acesso ao Portal de Periódicos na Universidade Federal da Paraíba decorrentes da gestão institucional. Conclui com recomendações institucionais para melhoria do acesso ao Portal de Periódicos que podem ser consideradas e aportadas em similares contextos de uso do mesmo.@pt

It describes the general context of use of the Scientific Journals Portal of the Coordination of Personnelâs of Superior Level Improvement in the Federal University of ParaÃba, from the promotion of the access to the Scientific Journals Portal for the Central Library of this university.
