Internationalization of SciELO Science Citation Index collections in the Information and Library Science area

Apresenta um panorama dos periódicos da área de Ciência da Informação e Biblioteconomia indexados na base de dados SciELO Citation Index. Especificamente objetivou avaliar a internacionalização dos periódicos da área contidos nessa base de dados, através do idioma de publicação, país do editor e país de afiliação do autor, considerando a evolução temporal dos artigos. A busca foi realizada considerando o campo categoria de assunto da Web of Science “Information Science & Library Science”, para identificar os itens relacionados a essas áreas, limitando a pesquisa aos artigos de periódicos para o período de 2002 a 2015. Os dados analisados indicam baixa integração entre os países editores dos periódicos e a comunidade global de pesquisa, considerando os parâmetros da pesquisa.@pt

It provides an overview of Information and Library Science periodicals indexed in SciELO Citation Index database. It specifically aimed to evaluate the internationalization of these journals contained in the database, through the publication of language, country editor and country of the author’s affiliation, considering the evolution of the articles.
