O site Contando Ciência na Web:um instrumento de inclusão social

A Empresa Brasileira de Pesquisa Agropecuária (Embrapa) vem se destacando com diversos projetos voltados para a popularização da ciência, para atender aos diversos públicos com ações simples, mas inovadoras em sua forma e amplitude. Entre esses projetos, está o site Contando Ciência na Web, cujo objetivo é levar informações técnico-científicas da empresa para o público infantojuvenil, como apoio à educação formal e não formal no ensino das ciências. Busca-se aproveitar a curiosidade natural de crianças e jovens para despertar neles o interesse pelas ciências, incentivando-os ao questionamento sobre o que ouvem ou leem na internet, permitindo que esse público possa desfrutar dos conhecimentos, processos, das metodologias e das tecnologias, objetos da investigação científica produzidos pela Embrapa. Ao desenvolver o site Contando Ciência, cria-se um canal de comunicação destinado não apenas à divulgação técnico-científica da instituição, mas sobretudo a contribuir com a sociedade brasileira na formação escolar em ciência e tecnologia. É importante enfatizar que o site é inclusivo, pois é acessível a crianças e adolescentes com deficiência visual e baixa visão, além de atender a outras deficiências. Palavras-chaveEducação. Among these projects, there is the website “Contando Ciência na Web” (Communicating Science on the Web), the main goal of which is to share technical-scientific information from Embrapa with the young public, as a way tfo supporting formal and informal education in the teaching of sciences. The goal is to use the child’s and teenager’s natural curiosity to arouse their interest in science, encouraging them to discuss what they hear or read on the Internet in order to show them the effectiveness of using the technical-scientific content produced by Embrapa for teaching science, which allows this young public to get benefits from knowledge, processes, methods, and technologies, objects of the scientific research produced by Embrapa. By developing the website “Contando Ciência”, Embrapa builds up a communication channel destined not only to promote the technical-scientific content of the institution, but also, and especially, to contribute to the Brazilian society for school education in science and technology. It is important to highlight that this website is also inclusive, since it is accessible to children and teenagers with low vision and vision deficiency, in addition to meeting other deficiency needs.
