                    [0] => A curadoria de tendências está presente em diversos produtos de informação das plataformas de mídia digital, mas ainda é pouco estudada e reconhecida como um processo de organização e representação da informação. Este trabalho teve o objetivo de caracterizar a curadoria de tendências como uma oferta de informação organizada e, por isso, como um processo de interesse da Ciência da Informação. Realizou-se pesquisa bibliográfica qualitativa e exploratória sobre o conceito, seguida de pesquisa documental nas documentações oficiais e apresentações mercadológicas de quatro produtos desse tipo: Em Alta, do YouTube; Central de Tendências, do TikTok; Trending Topics, do X; e Pinterest Trends. Verificou-se que, nos quatro produtos, conteúdos e temas são valorados por critérios objetivos de popularidade, frequência e engajamento, tendo sua relevância calculada em relação à própria coleção. Identificaram-se, ainda, dois arranjos de curadoria: a recomendação direta de conteúdos, no YouTube, e a recomendação de temas mediada por representação (folksonomia no TikTok, modelagem de tópicos no X e normalização de expressões de busca no Pinterest). Conclui-se que a curadoria de tendências constitui um processo de organização, representação temática e avaliação da relevância da informação, o que justifica seu estudo pela Ciência da Informação.@pt
                    [1] => Trend curation is present in various information products across digital media platforms, yet it remains understudied and insufficiently recognized as a process of information organization and representation. This paper aimed to characterize trend curation as an organized information offering and, as such, as a process of interest to Information Science. A Qualitative and exploratory bibliographic research was conducted on the concept, followed by documentary research into the official documentation and marketing presentations of four products of this type: YouTube´s Trending (Em Alta); TikTok´s Trend Discovery (Central de Tendências); X´s Trending Topics; and Pinterest Trends. It was found that, across all four products, content and topics are valued according to objective criteria of popularity, frequency, and engagement, with their relevance calculated relative to the collection itself. Two curation arrangements were further identified: direct content recommendation, on YouTube, and representation-mediated topic recommendation (folksonomy on TikTok, topic modeling on X, and normalization of search expressions on Pinterest). It is concluded that trend curation constitutes a process of information organization, thematic representation, and relevance evaluation, which justifies its study within Information Science.@en
