                                            [0] => This article argues that the librarian has the potential to act as an information educator on different fronts, such as providing dialogic spaces for the construction of collective knowledge and fostering the formation of critical subjects and citizens. The objective of the work is to discuss the relationship between information education and the librarian, discussing how he can fulfill the role of educator. The methodological procedures used the review and discussion of scientific literature, the approach is qualitative and the nature is basic. The results demonstrate that the librarian has the potential to work in information education as long as he positions himself in this perspective and receives appropriate training and, therefore, it is concluded that political action, whether individual or collective, action based on representation in councils class, and in favor of science and in initiatives that face misinformation, effective actions that consolidate the librarian as a potential educator in their field of activity are effective.
                                            [1] => Este artigo argumenta que o bibliotecário tem potencial para atuar como educador em informação em diferentes frentes de atuação, como oportunizar espaços dialógicos para a construção de conhecimento coletivo e fomentar a formação de sujeitos críticos e cidadãos. O objetivo do trabalho é discorrer acerca das formas de educação em informação, como a Competência em Informação e Infoeducação, para traçar um caminho para o bibliotecário cumprir o papel de educador. Os procedimentos metodológicos recorreram à natureza básica, abordagem qualitativa e à revisão e discussão da literatura científica. Os resultados demonstram que o bibliotecário tem potencial para atuar na educação em informação desde que se posicione nesta perspectiva e receba formação condizente. São apontados também exemplos pragmáticos de como educar em informação. Conclui-se que a atuação política, individual ou coletiva, presença em ambientes digitais - como Tiktok -, espaço para debates e reflexões frente ao uso de IAGen e programas de educação midiática são efetivas ações que consolidam o bibliotecário como um educador no seu campo de atuação.
