                                            [0] => Objective. This study analyzed the performance, intellectual and thematic structure, collaboration networks, and geographic scope of South American scientific production on female entrepreneurship from 2015 to 2025.
Design/Methodology/Approach. A bibliometric study was conducted on 193 documents retrieved from Scopus using a trilingual thematic framework and geographic-institutional delimitation by affiliation (AFFILCOUNTRY). Performance indicators and Bradford's law were calculated (Bibliometrix/Biblioshiny 4.5.1), as well as co-authorship, co-citation, and co-occurrence networks (VOSviewer 1.6.20). These were supplemented by a dual manual classification (source and empirical scope) and documentary verification of the co-cited database.
Results/Discussion. The field is expanding exponentially (at a rate of 2.6 years per doubling), yet this growth is not accompanied by adequate coordination. A study of the co-citation component revealed that 97% of the references were attributable to first authors affiliated outside the region (only 3% are South American). The community was fragmented into 18 micro-teams and 5 national clusters, with extraregional collaboration four times stronger than intraregional collaboration. Recently emerging topics exhibited a critical-intersectional orientation, with performance and funding being underrepresented themes. Furthermore, 64.8% of the corpus studies cases were from the region, but only 2.1% compared South American countries with one another. Higher productivity did not necessarily imply greater collaborative centrality: A comparative analysis of Brazil and Peru revealed divergent profiles of production and collaboration.
Conclusions. The observed patterns (predominantly extraregional references, fragmented networks, and limited intraregional comparison) are consistent with the characteristics described in the extant literature on peripheral scientific systems. To effect transformation, it is necessary to establish intraregional comparative agendas and to enhance regional coordination, rather than merely increasing volume.
Originality/Value. This bibliometric analysis of female entrepreneurship in South America is notable for its use of documentary verification to validate the cited database, as well as its replicable protocol for studying expanding fields in other regions.
                                            [1] => Objetivo. Se analizó el desempeño, la estructura intelectual y temática, las redes de colaboración y el alcance geográfico de la producción científica sudamericana sobre emprendimiento femenino (2015–2025).
Diseño/Metodología/Enfoque. Se realizó un estudio bibliométrico de 193 documentos recuperados de Scopus mediante un eje temático trilingüe y delimitación geográfico-institucional por afiliación (AFFILCOUNTRY). Se computaron indicadores de rendimiento y la ley de Bradford (Bibliometrix/Biblioshiny 4.5.1), así como redes de coautoría, cocitación y coocurrencia (VOSviewer 1.6.20), complementadas con una doble clasificación manual (procedencia y alcance empírico) y la verificación documental de la base cocitada.
Resultados/Discusión. El campo crece de forma exponencial (el tiempo de duplicación es de 2,6 años), pero el volumen no se acompaña de articulación: el 97,0 % de las referencias del componente conexo de cocitación se atribuye a primeros autores afiliados fuera de la región (solo el 3,0 % son sudamericanos); la comunidad se fragmenta en dieciocho microequipos y cinco clústeres nacionales, con una fuerza colaborativa extrarregional que cuadruplica la intrarregional; los temas de aparición reciente muestran una orientación crítico-interseccional, con el rendimiento y el financiamiento como temas poco representados, y el 64,8 % del corpus estudia casos de la región, pero solo el 2,1 % compara países sudamericanos entre sí. La mayor productividad no implica necesariamente una mayor centralidad colaborativa: Brasil y Perú presentan perfiles de producción y articulación contrastantes.
Conclusiones. Los patrones observados (referentes mayoritariamente extrarregionales, redes fragmentadas y escasa comparación intrarregional) son compatibles con los rasgos descritos en la literatura sobre sistemas científicos periféricos. Su transformación pasa por establecer agendas comparativas intrarregionales y una mayor articulación regional antes que por aumentar el volumen.
Originalidad/Valor. Se trata de un análisis bibliométrico del emprendimiento femenino en Sudamérica, con verificación documental de la procedencia de la base citada y un protocolo replicable para el estudio de campos en expansión en otras regiones.
