                                            [0] => The Department of Circulation Services and Special Shift of the Central Library of the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) has played a significant role over the years in the creation, adaptation, and implementation of new service models and library information processes. Ongoing direct interaction with user communities, together with daily collaborative work with library staff and the general public, has made it possible to identify both strengths and areas for improvement in the management and use of frequently requested bibliographic resources.The continuous strengthening and updating of services, successive stages of renovation, and the automation of book lending processes, as well as the temporary closure resulting from the COVID–19 pandemic caused by the SARS–COV–2 virus, form part of the gradual evolution experienced by the Central Library, in keeping with technological and scientific developments over recent decades.
                                            [1] => La trascendencia e importancia del Departamento de Circulación Bibliográfica y Turno Especial de la Biblioteca Central de la Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM) –a través de los años– ha creado, modificado, transformado e implementado nuevos modelos de servicios y procesos bibliotecarios de información. El trato directo con comunidades usuarias y el trabajo colaborativo con personas bibliotecarias y público en general día a día permite observar los aciertos y deficiencias en la gestión y manejo de los recursos bibliográficos que se solicitan constantemente.El fortalecimiento y la actualización del servicio, las etapas de remodelación y la automatización de los procesos en la adquisición del préstamo de libros, además del cierre temporal de las instalaciones a causa de la pandemia por COVID–19, provocada por el virus SARS–COV–2, es parte de la evolución gradual y paulatina experimentada por la Biblioteca Central, siguiendo la trayectoria del conocimiento tecnológico y científico en las últimas décadas.
