                                            [0] => Esta pesquisa busca conhecer os sentidos das representações acerca das bibliotecas prisionais nos discursos dos responsáveis pelas atividades em que a biblioteca está inserida, como a Educação de Jovens e Adultos e a remição de pena por leitura, na região metropolitana do Rio de Janeiro. Fazem parte do referencial teórico os autores Michel Foucault, Erving Goffman, Elionaldo Fernandes Julião e Angela Davis. Quanto à metodologia, os autores Ana Maria Cavalcante Lefèvre, Fernando Lefèvre, Serge Moscovici, Peter L. Berger e Thomas Luckmann. É uma pesquisa de base lógica fenomenológica e abordagem qualitativa. Para coleta de dados foi utilizado questionário e entrevista. O instrumento metodológico utilizado para análise dos dados é o Discurso do Sujeito Coletivo, oriundo da Análise do Discurso e fundamentado na Teoria das Representações Sociais. Por fim, analisa as representações expressas pelos entrevistados. A análise do DSC aponta que as bibliotecas prisionais ainda não são uma realidade no Rio de Janeiro.
                                            [1] => This research seeks to understand the meanings of representations about prison libraries in the speeches of those responsible for the activities in which the library is inserted, such as Youth and Adult Education and the redemption of sentences for reading, in the metropolitan region of Rio de Janeiro. The authors Michel Foucault, Erving Goffman, Elionaldo Fernandes Julião and Angela Davis are part of the theoretical framework. As for the methodology, the authors Ana Maria Cavalcante Lefèvre, Fernando Lefèvre, Serge Moscovici, Peter L. Berger and Thomas Luckmann. It is a research with a phenomenological logic and a qualitative approach. For data collection, a questionnaire and interview were used. The methodological instrument used for data analysis is the Collective Subject Discourse, derived from Discourse Analysis and based on the Theory of Social Representations. Finally, it analyzes the representations expressed by the interviewees. The analysis of the DSC points out that prison libraries are not yet a reality in Rio de Janeiro.
