                                            [0] => This article analyzes the reading incentive practices developed in the library of the Federal Institute of Bahia, Catu Campus, and their contributions to the formation of readers in Integrated High School (EMI). Based on the perspective of integral human formation in Professional and Technological Education (EPT), the research adopts a qualitative-quantitative approach, characterizing itself as a case study. Data were collected through questionnaires applied to students and library staff and analyzed based on Bardin's Content Analysis. The results show that the practices of mediation and encouragement of reading contribute to the development of critical thinking, reading habits, and intellectual autonomy of students. However, they also reveal structural and cultural limitations that hinder the consolidation of a reading culture. It is concluded that the school library, when articulated with the pedagogical project of EPT, can act as a strategic space for the formation of readers and the omnilateral formation of students.
                                            [1] => O presente artigo analisa as práticas de incentivo à leitura desenvolvidas na biblioteca do Instituto Federal Baiano, Campus Catu, e suas contribuições para a formação de leitores do Ensino Médio Integrado (EMI). Fundamentada na perspectiva da formação humana integral na Educação Profissional e Tecnológica (EPT), a pesquisa adota abordagem quali-quantitativa, caracterizando-se como estudo de caso. Os dados foram coletados por meio de questionários aplicados a estudantes e servidoras da biblioteca sendo analisados com base na Análise de Conteúdo de Bardin. Os resultados evidenciam que as práticas de mediação e incentivo à leitura contribuem para o desenvolvimento do pensamento crítico, do hábito leitor e da autonomia intelectual dos estudantes. Contudo, também revelam limites estruturais e culturais que dificultam a consolidação de uma cultura leitora. Conclui-se que a biblioteca escolar, quando articulada ao projeto pedagógico da EPT, pode atuar como espaço estratégico para a formação de leitores e a formação omnilateral dos estudantes.
