                                            [0] => The investigation aims at grasping how Black and peripheral memories and narratives expose the practices of grave human rights violations perpetrated by agents of the military regime in the hillsides and peripheries of the state of Rio de Janeiro. Furthermore, it seeks to demonstrate the role of these testimonies in the debate on epistemic injustices and on the politics of the oblivion imposed upon the Black population within the Brazilian transitional justice process. The investigation is grounded in the understanding of memory as a socio-political process and as a mechanism for elaboration and for legal and symbolic reparation of a collective trauma. As a methodological instrument, we analyzed, through documentary research, testimonies about police blitzes conducted against black people from Rio de Janeiro during the Brazilian military dictatorship. The research corpus was the report Colorindo memórias e redefinindo olhares: Ditadura Militar e racismo no Rio de Janeiro, produced by the Rio de Janeiro State Truth Commission. Through the lens of Grada Kilomba’s episodic and Elizabeth Jelin’s discussions on political struggles over memory, we analyzed the testimonies. The analysis reveals that the repression of the military dictatorship was not confined to the formal spaces of political militancy but also targeted Black and peripheral populations through practices of everyday militarization, public humiliation, and physical and psychological torture. Moreover, it shows that investigations of memory based on the testimonies of Black and peripheral individuals affected by the dictatorship occupy a vanguard position in the struggle for memory, truth, and justice for the Black Brazilian population.
                                            [1] => O objetivo geral desta investigação é apreender de que modo memórias e narrativas negras e periféricas evidenciam as práticas de graves violações de direitos humanos perpetradas por agentes do regime militar em morros e periferias do estado do Rio de Janeiro. Ademais, busca-se demonstrar o papel desses testemunhos diante das injustiças epistêmicas e da política de esquecimento imposta à população negra, no âmbito da justiça de transição brasileira. A investigação parte da compreensão da memória como processo sociopolítico e como mecanismo de elaboração e reparação jurídica e simbólica de um trauma coletivo. Como instrumento metodológico, foi feita uma pesquisa documental que analisou testemunhos sobre as blitzes policiais feitas contra a população negra do Rio de Janeiro durante a ditadura militar. Tomando como corpus da pesquisa o relatório Colorindo memórias e redefinindo olhares: Ditadura Militar e racismo no Rio de Janeiro, produzido pela Comissão Estadual da Verdade do Rio de Janeiro, os testemunhos foram analisados sob a ótica da análise episódica de Grada Kilomba e das lentes das disputas por memória de Elizabeth Jelin. A análise revela que a repressão perpetrada pela ditadura militar não se restringiu aos espaços formais da militância política, mas incidiu também sobre pessoas negras e periféricas, por meio de práticas de militarização do cotidiano, humilhação pública e torturas físicas e psicológicas. Ademais, mostra que os trabalhos de memória com base  nos testemunhos de pessoas negras e periféricas afetadas pela ditadura ocupam posição de vanguarda na luta por memória, verdade e justiça para a população negra brasileira.
