                                            [0] => This study investigates the role of university libraries and librarians in scientific literature regarding the assessment of undergraduate programs in Brazil. The article analyzes the characteristics of research indexed in SciELO (1996–2025), linking it to the regulatory framework of the National Higher Education Assessment System (SINAES) and other normative documents. A mixed-methods approach was employed, combining bibliometrics (article counts and co-occurrence/occurrence analysis) with documentary research. The body of scientific literature (185 articles) reflects shifts in Brazilian educational policy, with a predominance of critical perspectives on the regulation, quality, and future of higher education. Although university libraries and librarians are essential to assessment processes, research on this topic remains underrepresented (1.6%). The study concludes that, given the gaps between national assessment criteria and international standards, the assessment process should incorporate the pedagogical and strategic roles of libraries and librarians, and further research on the subject should be encouraged.
                                            [1] => A pesquisa investiga o papel da biblioteca universitária e do bibliotecário na produção científica sobre a avaliação dos cursos de graduação no Brasil. O artigo analisa as características da produção indexada na SciELO (1996-2025), associando-a com os marcos regulatórios do Sistema Nacional de Avaliação da Educação Superior-SINAES e outros documentos normativos. Trata-se de uma pesquisa como métodos mistos: Bibliométrica (número de artigos e Coocorrência/ocorrência) e Pesquisa Documental. Aprodução científica (185 artigos) é reflexo das transformações políticas educacionais brasileira e há predomínio de uma abordagem crítica sobre regulação, qualidade e futuro do ensino superior. Apesar da biblioteca universitária edo bibliotecário serem essenciais para os processos avaliativos, as pesquisas estãosub-representados[1,6%]. Conclui-se que, devido as lacunas entre os critérios nacionais de avaliação e os padrões internacionais, a avaliação incorpore o papel pedagógico e estratégico da biblioteca e do bibliotecário, bem como sejam fomentadas pesquisas sobre o tema.
