                                            [0] => This article presents a mapping of the normative production concerning the academic records of Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in Brazil. In their daily routines, HEIs produce, generate, and receive a wide range of documents; when these documents are related to the institution’s core academic activities, they constitute its academic records. In Brazil, such documents are regulated by specific legislation that is mandatory for institutions belonging to the Federal Education System (IFES). In this context, the following question arises: what are the main similarities, gaps, and opportunities within the legal framework governing academic records? Understanding this issue is important not only to ensure legal compliance but also to enable a controlled, secure, and standardized archival environment. This research adopts a quantitative and qualitative approach, with descriptive and exploratory objectives, through indirect documentary and bibliographic research. Although the legal framework on academic records presents gaps and inconsistencies, it provides valuable general guidelines for standardizing the production, use, and final disposition of institutional academic documents within the context of HEIs.
                                            [1] => Este artigo apresenta o mapeamento da produção normativa sobre acervo acadêmico da Instituição de Ensino Superior (IES) no Brasil. No seu dia a dia as IES, produzem, geram e recebem uma variedade de documentos, estes quando vinculados às atividades-fim da IES, compõem o seu acervo acadêmico. No Brasil, tais documentos são regulados por legislação própria, obrigatória as IES pertencentes ao Sistema Federal de Ensino (IFES). Neste contexto, questiona-se: quais as principais similaridades, lacunas e oportunidades do arcabouço legal sobre acervo acadêmico? O entendimento dessa questão é importante não apenas para garantir a conformidade legal, como também, permitir ambiente arquivístico controlado, seguro e uniforme. A metodologia desta pesquisa é de natureza quanti-qualitativa, de objetivo descritivo e exploratório, por meio da pesquisa documental indireta e bibliográfica. A base legal referente ao acervo acadêmico, embora apresente lacunas e inconsistências, oferece diretrizes gerais valiosas para uniformizar a produção, uso e destinação final dos documentos finalísticos no contexto das IES.
