                                            [0] => The study examines the presence and use of Academic Social Networks (ASNs) and author identifiers by faculty at the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras Campus. Platforms such as ResearchGate, Academia.edu, Google Scholar, ORCID, and ResearcherID were analyzed, finding limited adoption, with participation levels ranging from 5% to 22%. ResearchGate and Academia.edu are the most widely used platforms, while Web of Science, Google Scholar Citations, and ORCID are used less frequently. Likewise, a lack of standardization in scientific signatures and institutional affiliations was evident, which affects the consistency and visibility of academic production. The results also show that the rank of professor and the Faculty of Natural Sciences account for the majority of activity. Despite institutional efforts to promote the use of ORCID and strengthen digital identity, the impact has been limited. The study concludes that there is a need to implement comprehensive institutional policies and strengthen digital literacy with a view to improving academic identity and the dissemination of research.
                                            [1] => El estudio examina la presencia y uso de Redes Sociales Académicas (RSA) e identificadores de autor por parte del profesorado de la Universidad de Puerto Rico, Recinto de Río Piedras. Se analizaron plataformas como ResearchGate, Academia.edu, Google Scholar, ORCID y ResearcherID, encontrándose una adopción limitada, con niveles de participación que oscilan entre el 5% y el 22%. ResearchGate y Academia.edu son los espacios con mayor representación, mientras que Web of Science, Google Scholar Citations y ORCID presentan menor uso. Asimismo, se evidenció una falta de normalización en las firmas científicas y afiliaciones institucionales, lo cual afecta la coherencia y visibilidad de la producción académica. Los resultados también muestran que el rango de catedrático y la Facultad de Ciencias Naturales concentran la mayor actividad. A pesar de los esfuerzos institucionales para promover el uso de ORCID y fortalecer la identidad digital, el impacto ha sido limitado. El estudio concluye en la necesidad de implementar políticas institucionales integrales y reforzar la alfabetización digital con miras a mejorar la identidad académica y la difusión de la investigación.
