                                            [1] => Este editorial apresenta o volume 4 (2023) da Revista Brasileira de Preservação Digital (RBPD) , consolidando o periódico como um fórum essencial para a salvaguarda do patrimônio digital no cenário da Ciência Aberta. Diante do desafio de manter dados acessíveis e autênticos a longo prazo , os trabalhos reunidos oferecem um panorama teórico e prático abrangente que inclui a avaliação de repositórios sob diretrizes internacionais , análises normativas de sistemas como o SEI, e as discussões do Dossiê SINPRED. A edição aborda desde fluxos para o arquivamento da Web e estudos comparativos de políticas editoriais (SciELO e Elsevier) até pesquisas bibliométricas sobre a produção científica global da área. Discutem-se também a governança documental nas IFES , os indicadores de Ciência Cidadã , planos de gestão de dados para povos indígenas baseados nos princípios FAIR e CARE , padrões de metadados audiovisuais , a aplicação do protocolo OAI-ORE e as convergências entre as teorias arquivísticas e as novas tecnologias em instituições de memória. O volume é encerrado com uma entrevista exclusiva com Miguel Ángel Márdero Arellano , que apresenta um diagnóstico sobre a preservação de resultados acadêmicos no cenário nacional e global.
