                                            [0] => This article contains a reflection on the Pierre Verger Foundation library from the point of view of information science, between the years 1992 and 2013. For this purpose, uses the concept of information mediation by Oswaldo Francisco de Almeida Júnior and the five dimensions of information mediation (dialogical, aesthetic, formative, ethical and political) by Henriette Ferreira Gomes. Also brings data about the composition of library collection in the year 2024. It aims to critically address the work of information science professionals, highlight the importance of their ongoing training and emphasize the potential of dedicated work by these professionals. It also seeks to pay tribute to the life and work of Pierre Verger, give visibility to the information potential housed in the collection of the Pierre Verger Foundation library and encourage new research.
                                            [1] => Este artigo faz uma reflexão sobre a biblioteca da Fundação Pierre Verger através do ponto de vista da ciência da informação, entre os anos de 1992 e 2013. Para isso utiliza-se do conceito de mediação da informação do pesquisador Oswaldo Francisco de Almeida Júnior e das cinco dimensões da mediação da informação (dialógica, estética, formativa, ética e política) da professora Henriette Ferreira Gomes. Apresenta dados sobre a composição do acervo da biblioteca coletados durante o ano de 2024. Preocupa-se em tratar criticamente o trabalho do profissional de ciência da informação, destacar a importância de sua formação contínua e salientar as potencialidades de uma atuação dedicada por partes desses profissionais. Busca também prestar homenagem à vida e obra de Pierre Verger, dar visibilidade ao potencial informativo abrigado no acervo da biblioteca da Fundação Pierre Verger e estimular novas pesquisas.
