                    [0] => Este artigo apresenta a atuação do Programa de Biblioteca e Leitura – Contagem das Letras, instituído pela Secretaria de Educação da cidade de Contagem - MG, com o objetivo de fortalecer as políticas de leitura e informação no município. Considerando o número expressivo da população negra e a presença da comunidade quilombola dos Arturos, reconhecida como Patrimônio Cultural de Minas Gerais, o Programa desenvolve projetos que valorizam a identidade cultural local, promovendo o acesso à leitura e ao conhecimento nas bibliotecas da Rede Municipal de Educação. São apresentadas iniciativas como as estantes virtuais Estante Lilás (focada na luta contra a violência de gênero) e Estante Griot (dedicada à valorização da cultura afro-brasileira), bem como a realização de formações para profissionais de biblioteca com foco na educação antirracista e de gênero, culminando com a publicação do Catálogo de Ações do Dia B – O Feminino em Pauta (registro das ações desenvolvidas nas bibliotecas, destacando o protagonismo da mulher negra). O texto enfatiza que a biblioteca vai além do empréstimo de livros: é lugar de resistência, escuta e transformação social. As ações descritas demonstram o potencial das bibliotecas escolares como espaços de mediação cultural e promoção da diversidade, reafirmando o papel da escola como território de construção de identidades, reconhecimento de saberes plurais e fortalecimento da representatividade de mulheres e pessoas negras na literatura e em outras áreas do conhecimento.@pt
                    [1] => This article presents the work of the Programa de Biblioteca e Leitura – Contagem das Letras, instituted by the Department of Education of the city of Contagem - MG, with the objective of strengthening reading and information policies in the municipality. Considering the significant number of the Black population and the presence of the Arturos quilombola community, recognized as a Cultural Heritage of Minas Gerais, the Program develops projects that value local cultural identity, promoting access to reading and knowledge in the libraries of the Municipal Education Network. Initiatives are presented, such as the virtual shelves Estante Lilás (focused on the fight against gender-based violence) and Estante Griot (dedicated to valuing Afro-Brazilian culture), as well as the holding of training sessions for library professionals with a focus on anti-racist and gender education, culminating in the publication of the Catalog of Actions from Day B – O Feminino em Pauta (a record of the actions developed in the libraries, highlighting the protagonism of Black women). The text emphasizes that the library goes beyond lending books: it is a place of resistance, listening, and social transformation. The actions described demonstrate the potential of school libraries as spaces for cultural mediation and the promotion of diversity, reaffirming the role of the school as a territory for the construction of identities, the recognition of plural knowledge, and the strengthening of the representation of women and Black people in literature and other areas of knowledge.@en
