                                            [0] => In Brazil, there are reading mediators from different backgrounds who occupy territories, including schools, libraries, cultural centers, bookstores, etc. They have been committed to inspiring and training critical readers, who are autonomous in their choices and willing to share the texts they have read and appropriated. The objective of this study is to demonstrate how reading mediation can be an action capable of changing the lives of individuals. The study is characterized as descriptive and qualitative in nature. The data collection technique consists of two stages: an interview with Professor Rovilson Silva, a mediator who works in public schools; and the second stage refers to interviews with a male and female student, who are currently reading mediators in the city of Londrina, Paraná. After the analysis, it was possible to conclude that the reading exchanges and their participation in the mediations carried out by the aforementioned Professor marked the relationship of the mediators with the book and the text, and awakened in them the desire to replicate the mediations in adulthood, since the female student is currently a storyteller and the male student is a writer.
                                            [1] => No Brasil, existem mediadores de leitura de diferentes formações que ocupam territórios, entre eles escolas, bibliotecas, centro culturais, livrarias etc. Eles têm se empenhado em inspirar e formar leitores críticos, autônomos em suas escolhas e desejosos de partilhar os textos lidos e apropriados. Nessa perspectiva, o objetivo desse estudo é evidenciar como a mediação da leitura pode ser uma ação capaz de modificar a vida dos sujeitos. O estudo se caracteriza como descritivo, de natureza qualitativa. A técnica de coleta de dados consiste em duas etapas: uma entrevista com o Professor Rovilson Silva, mediador atuante em escolas públicas, e a segunda etapa refere-se às entrevistas com uma aluna e um aluno, hoje mediadores de leitura na cidade de Londrina, Paraná. Após a análise foi possível concluir que as trocas de leitura e a participação destes nas mediações realizadas pelo referido Professor, marcou a relação dos leitores com o livro, o texto e despertou neles o desejo de replicar, na fase adulta, as mediações, pois a aluna atualmente é narradora de histórias e o aluno escritor.
