                                            [0] => This article analyzes the informational practices in the Glória Feliz Alcoholics Anonymous (A.A.) group in Belo Horizonte, Brazil, to understand how these practices help achieve and maintain the members' sobriety. The descriptive qualitative research, with ethnographic orientation, used participant observation and semi-structured interviews, systematizing and interpreting the data through content analysis. Four categories were identified: "The disease, perception and treatment", based on Pamela McKenzie's Two-Dimensional Model and Brenda Dervin's Sense-Making approach; "Stigma and prejudice", based on Erving Goffman's theory of Stigma; "A.A meetings and structure", discussed based on Herbert Blumer's theories of symbolic interactionism and Pamela McKenzie's Two-Dimensional Model; and " The vision of society and culture ", analyzed by Clifford Geertz's theory of the interpretation of culture. The analysis of these theoretical categories revealed how the A.A. group's informational practices contribute to the members' sobriety. It was possible to understand how social interactions and the exchange of information in A.A. meetings contribute to the construction of new identities and to the resignification of the members' life experiences. The detailed analysis of the categories revealed the complexity of alcoholism and the importance of social and cultural interactions in the recovery of alcoholics.
                                            [1] => Este artigo analisa as práticas informacionais no grupo de Alcoólicos Anônimos (A.A) Glória Feliz, em Belo Horizonte, para entender como essas práticas ajudam na obtenção e manutenção da sobriedade dos membros. A pesquisa qualitativa descritiva, com orientação etnográfica, utilizou observação participante e entrevistas semiestruturadas, sistematizando e interpretando os dados por meio da análise de conteúdo. Foram estabelecidas e analisadas quatro categorias: "A doença, percepção e tratamento", baseada no Modelo Bidimensional de Pamela McKenzie e na abordagem Sense-Making de Brenda Dervin; "O estigma e o preconceito", fundamentada na teoria do Estigma de Erving Goffman; "A.A reuniões e estrutura", discutida com base nas teorias do interacionismo simbólico de Herbert Blumer e no Modelo Bidimensional de Pamela McKenzie; e "A visão de sociedade e da cultura", analisada pela teoria da interpretação da cultura de Clifford Geertz. A análise dessas categorias teóricas revelou como as práticas informacionais no grupo A.A contribuem para a sobriedade dos membros. Foi possível compreender como as interações sociais e a troca de informações nas reuniões do A.A contribuem para a construção de novas identidades e para a ressignificação das experiências de vida dos membros. A análise detalhada das categorias revelou a complexidade do alcoolismo e a importância das interações sociais e culturais na recuperação dos alcoólicos.
