This skill facilitates the adoption of healthy habits, improves communication with healthcare professionals, and optimizes self-care.
Objective: To examine the landscape of digital health literacy and contributions to promoting digital health programs by reviewing the scientific literature.
Methods: A scientific review was carried out using the PRISMA 2020 declaration and using the ICrESAI-IMeCI and AMSTAR-2 criteria, the search was in the PubMed, Scielo, Elsevier, Dialnet, BVS, ResearchGate, Redalyc and Repositories databases, the keywords; health literacy, digital health, health promotion and self-care, the period from 2019 to 2024, Spanish language, Open Access and related to the health field, the analysis of the information with the ATLAS.ti version 9 software.
Results: It was found that digital health literacy is crucial for access to information, which is not possible without the proper implementation of digital strategies that lead to the empowerment of individuals.
Conclusions: Improving digital literacy is crucial as it has the potential to empower patients, enabling them to make informed decisions about their health.
                                            [1] => Introducción: La alfabetización digital en salud es una competencia esencial que permite a las personas acceder, comprender y utilizar información sanitaria a través de medios digitales. Esta habilidad facilita la adopción de hábitos saludables, mejora la comunicación con profesionales de la salud y optimiza el autocuidado.
Objetivo: Examinar el panorama de la alfabetización digital en salud y las aportaciones en la promoción de los programas de salud digital.
Métodos: Se realizó una revisión científica, utilizando la declaración PRISMA 2020 y los criterios de ICrESAI-IMeCI y AMSTAR-2. La búsqueda se realizó en las bases de datos PubMed, SciELO, Elsevier, Dialnet, BVS, ResearchGate, Redalyc y repositorios, durante el período 2019-2024. Se emplearon las siguientes palabras clave: alfabetización en salud, salud digital, promoción en salud y autocuidado, en idioma español, de acceso abierto y relacionados al ámbito sanitario. El análisis de la información se desarrolló con el software ATLAS.ti versión 9.
Resultados: Se encontró que la alfabetización digital en salud es crucial para el acceso a información, lo cual no es posible sin la implementación adecuada de estrategias digitales que lleven al empoderamiento de los individuos.
Conclusiones: Es crucial la mejora de la alfabetización digital, ya que tiene la capacidad de fortalecer a los pacientes, al otorgarles la toma de decisiones informadas sobre su salud.
