                                            [0] => The need for access to information and the behavior towards it have always been present in our society. Over the years, studies have advanced, constantly seeking to better understand how we behave in the face of an information need, and how we use and fill the informational void we experience. In this sense, the general objective of this work was to analyze studies addressing information behavior models in the dissertations produced by graduates of the Professional Master's in Information and Knowledge Management at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN), currently the Professional Master's in Information Science. Regarding the methods, this research is characterized by a qualitative and quantitative approach, in which a documentary analysis was carried out on dissertations available in the public domain within the institutional repository. After analyzing the 72 works available in the repository as of July 2023, it was evidenced that 7 (seven) dissertations are studies focused on the information user and information behavior. The results indicated that of the 7 (seven) dissertations retrieved after technical reading, 6 (six) feature a direct approach to information behavior, while one of them addresses the theme indirectly, with information mediation being the prevailing topic. At the end of this research, it became evident through the document analysis that the models most frequently used by graduates up to the time of this study were primarily those of researchers Ellis and Kuhlthau, although the models of Wilson, Taylor, and Belkin were also applied in smaller quantities. It is concluded, based on these results, that a portion of the master's students is attentive to the relevance of information users seeking information in diverse scenarios. Finally, it is recommended that this research be expanded to other repositories.
                                            [1] => A necessidade do acesso à informação e o comportamento diante dela, sempre foi um elemento presente em nossa sociedade. Com o passar dos anos os estudos avançaram e buscam a cada momento tentar compreender melhor como nos comportamos perante uma necessidade de informação, como usamos e preenchemos o vazio informacional que vivemos. Nesse sentido, este trabalho teve como objetivo geral analisar estudos que abordam modelos de comportamento informacional nas produções de dissertações dos egressos do Mestrado Profissional em Gestão da Informação e do Conhecimento da Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, atualmente Mestrado Profissional em Ciência da Informação. Quanto aos métodos, esta pesquisa caracteriza-se com abordagem qualitativa e quantitativa, em que foi realizada análise documental das dissertações que se encontravam em domínio público no repositório da instituição. Após análise dos 72 trabalhos disponíveis no repositório, em julho de 2023, ficou evidenciado que 7 (sete) dissertações são pesquisas com abordagem no usuário de informação e nos estudos de comportamento informacional. Os resultados apontaram que das 7 (sete) dissertações recuperadas após a leitura técnica, 6 (seis) trazem uma abordagem direta ao comportamento informacional, enquanto que uma delas, trata do tema de forma indireta, prevalecendo o tema da mediação da informação. Ao final desta pesquisa, ficou evidente que a partir da leitura dos documentos, os modelos mais utilizados até o momento desta pesquisa pelos egressos foram prioritariamente dos pesquisadores Ellis e Kuhlthau, embora os modelos de Wilson, Taylor e Belkin tenham sido aplicados em menor quantitativo também. Conclui, após esse resultado, que parte dos discentes do mestrado está atenta para perceber a relevância dos usuários de informação que buscam informação nos mais diversos cenários. Por fim, recomenda-se a ampliação dessa pesquisa em outros repositórios.
