                                    [description] => This article presents the pilot experiment carried out by technical staff of the Intennediate Archives Division of the National Archives, in the sense of defining a methodology of identification and organiza tion of the sets and groups of documents transfered by departments of the Federal Public Administration for temporary storage, with no prior evaluation. The proposed methodology stresses the importance of identifying the documents, bearingin mind the legal functionsof entities that produced them, in order to facilitate the future task of evaluation.
