                    [0] => Objective: To evaluate the influence of undergraduate student participation in community engagement and the development of university social responsibility at the Universidad Regional Autónoma de Los Andes. Therefore, the objective was to analyze the relationship between the frequency of participation in community engagement activities and the development of social competencies in undergraduate students. Methodology: A mixed-methods approach was applied, using a quantitative, descriptive-correlational design and qualitative methods to describe in depth the experiences of the students. Structured surveys and interviews were administered to a purposive sample of 112 students. Results and Discussion: The findings indicated that participation in community engagement activities has a favorable effect on the development of social competencies and community commitment, although no significant relationship was found with the frequency of such participation. Conclusions: The need to strengthen these competencies through more integrative strategies and to improve the infrastructure to facilitate these activities is highlighted. Contributions: The need to explore the factors that may influence the opportunity to adapt and improve the models that link the problem with the reasons for studies is presented, demonstrating several successful experiences.@en
                    [1] => Objetivo: evaluar la influencia de la participación de los estudiantes de pregrado en vinculación y el desarrollo de la responsabilidad social universitaria en la Universidad Regional Autónoma de Los Andes por lo cual se ha formulado un objetivo que es analizar la relación entre la frecuencia de participación en actividades de vinculación y el desarrollo de competencias sociales de los estudiantes de pregrado. Metodología:  se ha aplicado un enfoque mixto, utilizando un diseño cuantitativo, descriptivo-correlacional y métodos cualitativos para describir en profundidad las experiencias de los estudiantes a quienes se aplicaron encuestas estructuradas y entrevistas a una muestra intencional de 112 estudiantes. Resultados y Discusión: los hallazgos han indicado que la participación en actividades de vinculación tiene un efecto favorable en el desarrollo de competencias sociales y el compromiso comunitario, aunque no se encontró una relación significativa con la frecuencia de dicha participación. Conclusiones: se resalta la necesidad de fortalecer dichas competencias a través de estrategias más integradoras y de mejorar la infraestructura para facilitar estas actividades. Aportes: Se expone la necesidad de explorar los factores que puedan influir en la oportunidad de adaptar y mejorar los modelos que vinculan la problemática, con las razones de estudios, demostrando varias experiencias exitosas.@es
