                                            [0] => The objective is to present, within the scope of Information Science, how generative artificial intelligence (GAI) tools are being used in scientific communication. A narrative literature review was conducted, in which searches were carried out in the Scopus, Science Direct, and Web of Science databases, using the search terms scientific communication, artificial intelligence, and generative artificial intelligence. The results obtained after descriptive and qualitative analysis of the research findings indicate that the main challenges arising from the use of GAI in scientific communication involve the importance of preserving scientific integrity; the regulation of the use of these tools; and the risk of the emergence of a new digital divide, which presents at opposite poles those who possess the required skills to use the technologies and those who do not. The conclusions point to the need to understand how GAI-based tools work, in addition to the need to encourage more in-depth research in the area, fostering the development of educational strategies that can stimulate the critical, conscious, and ethical use of these technologies.
                                            [1] => Objetiva-se apresentar, no âmbito da Ciência da Informação, de que forma ferramentas de inteligência artificial generativa (IAG) vêm sendo utilizadas na comunicação científica. Realizou-se revisão de literatura do tipo narrativa, na qual foram conduzidas buscas nas bases de dados Scopus, Science Direct e Web of Science, utilizando os termos de busca comunicação científica, inteligência artificial e  inteligência artificial generativa. Os resultados obtidos após tratamento descritivo e qualitativo dos achados de pesquisa apontam que os principais desafios oriundos da utilização da IAG na comunicação científica envolvem a importância da preservação da integridade científica; a regulamentação do uso dessas ferramentas; e o risco de emergência de uma nova exclusão digital, que apresenta em polos opostos quem possui as habilidades requeridas para o uso das tecnologias e aqueles que não as têm. As conclusões apontam para a necessidade de entender como as ferramentas baseadas em IAG funcionam, além da importância do estímulo à produção de pesquisas mais aprofundadas na área, com fomento ao desenvolvimento de estratégias educacionais que possam estimular o uso crítico, consciente e ético dessas tecnologias.
