                                            [0] => The study of the theme of this article seeks to support the theoretical references in an ongoing research project by the author, whose future prospects are to outline the project, conduct a systematic literature review, identify, study and apply the conceptual models, collect data and conclude the research. The ontological foundation is a high-level ontology that seeks to provide a unified basis for the construction of domain-specific ontologies as a fundamental approach to improving the representation and management of information in health information systems. Thus, this article aims to identify how the ontological foundation is being used in information systems, through a systematic review of the literature proposed by (Kitchenham, 2004). Thirty-eight articles were found and after critical reading of the abstract and application of the inclusion and exclusion criteria, 25 articles were selected. The research was carried out by searching the PubMed database in which the expressions "Ontological foundation", "Ontological framework" and "health" were found in their abstracts. As a result, it was found that the ontological foundation has been applied in health information systems in order to integrate health services in an intelligent way, supporting the standardization of processes, disease nomenclature, diagnostic tests and medical treatments. Since the research was limited to the last 10 years, it is suggested to expand and apply the protocol to other databases.
                                            [1] => O estudo do tema desse artigo, busca apoiar nas referências teóricas em um projeto de pesquisa em andamento pelo autor que tem como perspectivas futuras esboçar o projeto, realizar uma revisão sistemática de literatura, identificar, estudar e aplicar os modelos conceitos, coletar os dados e concluir a pesquisa. O fundamento ontológico é uma ontologia de alto nível que busca fornecer uma base unificada para a construção de ontologias de domínio específico como uma abordagem fundamental para melhorar a representação e o gerenciamento de informações em sistemas de informação em saúde. Dessa forma, esse artigo objetiva identificar como o fundamento ontológico está sendo utilizado em sistemas de informação, através de uma revisão sistemática da literatura proposta por (Kitchenham, 2004). Foram encontrados 38 artigos e após leitura crítica do resumo e aplicação dos critérios de inclusão e exclusão foram selecionados 25 artigos. A pesquisa foi realizada buscando na base de dados PubMed em que as expressões "Ontological foundation", "Ontological framework" e "health" foram encontrados em seus resumos. Como resultado foi verificado que o fundamento ontológico tem sido aplicado em sistemas de informação em saúde de forma a integrar os serviços de saúde de forma inteligente apoiando na padronização de processo, nomenclatura de doenças, teste de diagnóstico e tratamentos médicos. Como a pesquisa foi limitada aos últimos 10 anos, sugerindo-se ampliar e aplicar o protocolo em outras bases de dados.
