                                            [0] => This article analyzes the photographic archive of Escola Municipal José Bonifácio as a documentary source. Using an experimental application of the Brazilian Archival Description Standard (NOBRADE) and interviews with the school community, the study investigates the limits of technical description and the role of memory and affectivity in contextualizing images. Findings show that school photographs serve as instruments for preserving memory, fostering affective bonds, and reflecting on pedagogical practices.

A partir da aplicação experimental da Norma Brasileira de Descrição Arquivística (NOBRADE) e de entrevistas com a comunidade escolar, investigam-se os limites da descrição técnica e o papel da memória e da afetividade na contextualização das imagens. A pesquisa evidencia que fotografias escolares são instrumentos de preservação da memória, vínculos afetivos e reflexão sobre práticas pedagógicas.
