                    [0] => The concepts of Citizen participation and Participatory archives are complex and still poorly studied and defined, taking on different meanings and referring to actions carried out by different actors. They can refer to individual or community processes on the part of citizens, in which they share decision-making and production with those who work in a public institution. The concepts have become commonplace and are used in multiple situations, from intervention in politics and public decisions to involvement in different civil society structures. This work aims to analyse the perception of some information managers of Portuguese municipal archives on these concepts and community projects for the safeguarding of archival heritage. The initial conclusions were presented based on a review of the literature and a survey of twenty municipal archive managers from district capitals, as well as other municipal archives. The responses obtained are compared with the practices that professionals carry out in the service where they work, namely regarding the connection and involvement of citizens in citizenship practices for the protection and safeguarding of archival heritage, through qualitative analysis of the responses. Managers recognise the importance of involving citizens in citizenship practices for a more sustainable and transformative life, framing social, cultural and environmental realities and strengthening efforts to protect and safeguard archival cultural heritage. However, human and financial resources do not allow municipal archives to consistently develop projects in this area and become participatory archives.@en
                    [1] => Os conceitos de Participação cidadã e Arquivos participativos são complexos e ainda pouco estudados e definidos, assumindo diversos significados e remetendo para ações realizadas por diferentes atores. Podem referir-se a processos individuais ou comunitários por parte dos cidadãos, em que estes partilham a tomada de decisões e a produção com quem exerce funções numa instituição pública. Os conceitos tornaram-se comuns sendo empregados em múltiplas situações, desde a intervenção na política e nas decisões públicas ao envolvimento nas diferentes estruturas da sociedade civil. Este trabalho tem como objetivo analisar a perceção de alguns gestores de informação de arquivos municipais portugueses sobre estes conceitos e os projetos comunitários para a salvaguarda do património arquivístico. A partir de uma revisão de literatura e de um inquérito realizado a vinte gestores de arquivos municipais das capitais de distrito, assim como de outros arquivos municipais, apresentaram-se as primeiras conclusões. As respostas obtidas são confrontadas com as práticas que os profissionais efetuam no serviço em que trabalham, nomeadamente sobre a ligação e o envolvimento dos cidadãos em práticas de cidadania de proteção e salvaguarda do património arquivístico, através da análise qualitativa das respostas. Os gestores têm a perceção da importância em envolver os cidadãos em práticas de cidadania, para uma vida mais sustentável e transformadora, enquadrando as realidades sociais, culturais e ambientais e fortalecendo esforços para proteger e salvaguardar o património cultural arquivístico, mas os recursos humanos e financeiros não permitem aos arquivos municipais desenvolverem, de modo consistente, projetos deste âmbito e tornarem-se arquivos participativos.@pt
